Through digital literacy platforms students can utilize eBooks, audiobooks, podcasts, databases, videos, and more. This wide range of resources can empower students to see mirrors of themselves and windows into others’ cultures and experiences. This session will demonstrate how utilizing a diverse toolbox of resources assists in engaging readers. When students are active readers, it can result in a deeper understanding of content. Participants in this session will discover the importance of teaching students how to navigate and engage with their digital resources as well as what tools are available to assist teachers in curating content to lead to more powerful learning.
